On Sunday, July 18, from 9:45-10:30 AM, in
the Education Building, we will begin a twelve-week adult Bible
study, “Characters of the Old Testament,” led by Tom Robinson.
The Old Testament contains quite an unusual cast of characters! As
the curtain rises and the plot of Scripture unfolds, you'll learn
things you may never have known about several of the lesser-known
characters in the Bible. You'll gain inspiration and courage from
the lives of women like Abigail, and Esther. You'll also learn vital
lessons from the struggles of people like Samson, who fought a
lifelong battle with lust, and Jonah, who stubbornly refused to take
God's message to the people of Nineveh until God used gale-force
winds and an enormous fish to get his attention. You'll see that
they wrestled with the same sins and struggled through the same
trials that you have. From their wise decisions (and their
not-so-wise ones), you'll discover the importance of maintaining a
strong faith and an unwavering commitment to God's principles.
You'll glean some unforgettable life lessons from this Old Testament
drama. If you are trying to figure out how the Bible applies to
your everyday life, this could be the class for you.
This class is for men and women of all ages, single or married.
Each week is a complete lesson, so it’s okay if you can only commit
for one week or all twenty-two. We hope you will join our Sunday
morning Bible study. If you are new to the church, this is a great
way to meet other people.

The Relay for
Life team, “Christ Can Cure Cancer”, from “a church called Christ”
is doing a fundraiser.
20 oz bottles
will be available after each service to be filled with dimes, any
amount
of dimes can be donated (a full bottle equals $100).
The team

Join us for our Wednesday Get-Togethers in June
Young adults between the ages of 18-30 are meeting on Wednesday evenings.
Join them and fellowship with other young adults.

Christ-Youth will be leaving Sunday, July 18, for

West Virginia to work
on homes for Camp
Joy.
On our Bulletin Board in the main hallway, you’ll find pictures from
our jobsites as well as small slips of paper with items that we’ll
need for the trip. We’ve added a few new items this year. You’ll
also find cash donation forms.
We will NOT need any water this year. Blind Industries of
Maryland has generously donated bottled water for
Camp Joy
Thank you for all your help and support.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Camp Joy Mission Trip Worship
Service on Thursday, July 29
at 6:30 PM in our Sanctuary.
Come and see the pictures and hear the stories from our youth about
their mission trip.
